this is the home of the weconomy experience.
the weconomy experience is a simulation of the new economy that is emerging at the moment.
what will the new economy look like? do we still use money? what role will the internet play? do we still have to learn and work? you encounter all these questions and many more when you play the weconomy experience.
our market economy is not a free market, the free market is a utopia
but even if our economy would be a free market, there still would be winners and losers
this is because there are people that want to win at the cost of others
and you? what do you want?
and we? we don’t want to win at your cost, we want to cooperate
so how do we do that? what in our current economy makes for winners and losers?
and if we take out that sting, what would our economy look like?
the weconomy experience is a utopia, just like the free market is
but this utopia is one without the sting in the free market
trade is the sting, because trade is what you do when you don’t trust each other
people that trust each other share, like you do at home, at the kitchen table
the new economy is one global kitchen table
the weconomy experience lets you experience what that looks like
here is an impression of an earlier version played at z-day 2014:
you can ask us to come over and play the weconomy experience at your site
you can also play the weconomy experience without our help, all you need is the following (or borrow our stuff):
- explanation for the game master: game-master
- boards:
- goals:
- for each team (so 4 times)
- archetypes (the second picture is the back of the first picture):
- builder
- innovator
- scientist
- caretaker
- coach
- fool
- discoverer
- instructions:
in due course the simulation will be explained in further detail here.
two important variations are:
- add money to the game, you will need a way to valuate
- hide information, what will happen to trust?
version 1, which obviously lacks some fundamental ideas present in version 2, was played at occupy Amsterdam.
it is amazing what Read here. It looks like it is our own work, which is is not so professional as this one.
However our commitment is a sort of the same.
After i talked with you , Jeroen, coming Saturday, i wish we could connect with the members of our cooperation in a way which brings a smile at all our faces by being a step forward.
